Some dogs need one-on-one support and goal setting before they're ready to join other dogs in a group setting. We offer Private Training & Behavior Modification coaching to help you with fear; anxiety; aggression; reactivity; basic manners; puppy problem solving and socialization; advancing your manners skills; teaching your dog a sport; increasing your enrichment chops - the list goes on!
At Happy Dog, our private training programs offer practical, science-based solutions that deliver real results—along with peace of mind and a big sigh of relief. Using reward-based methods, we address behavior challenges with expertise and experience you can trust. We also meet mulstiple times each month as a team to collaborate and brainstorm cases, so when you work with us you have a whole team behind you.
Each Private Training Package Includes:
- A 60-minute initial consultation to get you the help you need ASAP—available in-person at our facility or virtually.
- Additional hours of support, typically broken into 30-minute sessions.
- The flexibility to choose in-person and/or virtual sessions to maximize success.
- Written materials, handouts, goal-setting notes, and video reviews (as needed).
- The expertise of our whole team via regular staff collaboration meetings.
- Cutting-edge resources and techniques—we are always taking continuing education courses and learning more.
- A customized training plan that is humane, effective, and designed to fit your lifestyle—because our goal is to reduce stress, not add to it.

Private Training Packages
Puppy Training Private Support Package
Choose this package if you need ALL the help you can get with your puppy, aged 8-24 weeks. We'll help you problem solve, set goals and customize a program to fit your needs.
Private Manners & Obedience Package
If you need help with some manners, want a customized obedience package, or our group class availability doesn't work for you, or you want to try a sport privately, this is the package for you.
House Training Private Support Package
Whether you have a new puppy or an older dog, if you are struggling to teach them where to properly eliminate, we are here to help.
Class Prep Support Package
Choose this option if you're already signed up for a group class but you need some support getting ready beforehand.
Stranger Danger Program
Have you ever wondered why your sweet companion canine is so wonderful with your family and people they know but is absolutely different when strangers come around? This class is for you.
Kick Starter Package
If you're not sure what you need, or we aren't sure how much support you'll need either, this is the package we usually recommend. It's also used to help support folks who are waiting to get into a behavior class, but need help sooner rather than later.
Complex or Multiple Behavior Issues? Choose This Package
If you're dealing with more than one behavior issue, but you don't think your dog isn't suffering from anxiety, fear, or aggression, choose this package.
